Description
Sour Soul is a collaborative album by BADBADNOTGOOD and Ghostface Killah, presented on CD. It brings together the Toronto jazz and hip-hop band with the Staten Island rapper for listeners drawn to live instrumentation and vivid rap storytelling.
Inspired by music and recording techniques of the 1960s and 1970s, the album favours live instrumentation over sampling. BADBADNOTGOOD and producer Frank Dukes create a dramatic, cinematic setting for Ghostface Killah’s storytelling.
Guest appearances include MF DOOM, Elzhi, Danny Brown and Tree.
