About the Works:

The Second Concerto, composed in just seventeen days, showcases well-balanced movements that draw inspiration from Fauré and Bach. The Fifth Concerto, subtitled ‘The Egyptian’, was Saint-Saëns' response to Wagnerian fervor, incorporating melodies inspired by a Nubian love song heard on the Nile and the sounds of croaking frogs in its second movement. This concerto is a testament to virtuosity for both composer and performer.
