Description
False Lankum is a two-disc vinyl album by Irish band Lankum, for listeners drawn to contemporary folk rooted in traditional songs. The black vinyl release follows the band's 2019 album The Livelong Day.
Lankum recast traditional folk songs with heavy drones and sonic distortion, bringing a dark, distinctive intensity to the material. The album marks the band's move beyond the folk genre into bold contemporary music, with a sound that sits alongside Rough Trade labelmates black midi and Gilla Band.
