Description

Monster Movie is the debut album by Can, recorded in a castle near Cologne in 1968. This remastered release is for listeners exploring the influential group's early work.

Can formed in the late 1960s, bringing together Holger Czukay and Irmin Schmidt, who left academic careers to make music. The album was recorded with Michael Karoli, Jaki Liebezeit and American singer Malcolm Mooney, with the sounds of Jimi Hendrix, Captain Beefheart and The Velvet Underground in the musicians' ears.
