Description

The Delines’ The Set Up is a one-disc audio CD for listeners drawn to atmospheric, story-led songs. It brings together songs set aside from the Mr. Luck & Ms. Doom sessions and material Willy continued writing after that album was finished.

With producer John Morgan Askew at the helm, the album builds an atmospheric world. The Delines describe it as the wayward, misguided and lonely sister to Mr. Luck & Ms. Doom: more ragged and undone, but still presented on a cinematic scale.

Standout songs include “Walking With His Sleeves Down”, “The Reckless Life”, “Dilaudid Diane” and “Jumping off in Madras”.
