JOSE GONZALEZ - AGAINST THE DYING OF THE LIGHT [Audio CD]

José González presents Against the Dying of the Light, a new album serving as a companion and further meditation on the themes explored in his critically acclaimed record, Local Valley. While Local Valley focused inward on place and personal reflection, this new work widens its perspective, offering an urgent call to preserve the light of humanity, despite its flaws, especially as technology increasingly shapes human thought and interaction.

Reflecting the tradition of folk music as protest, González uses this album to urge resistance against dehumanizing and dividing systems. The music is framed as a global humanist message, written in English, Swedish, and Spanish, honoring his Swedish-Argentine roots.
