Description
Keith Jarrett’s Hymns - Spheres is a two-CD set of solo pipe-organ improvisations, suited to listeners exploring his work beyond the piano. It presents the complete recording, made in 1976 at the Benedictine Abbey in Ottobeuren, Bavaria.
Recorded on the abbey’s Trinity Organ, the music uses the instrument’s range of stops to create a distinctive sound without overdubs or added ornamentation. The result moves between grand, forceful passages and delicate, intimate textures.
