Description

Machu Picchu is a personal Tangerine Dream composition, released on CD. Created as a tribute to BBC Radio 1 presenter John Peel, it is for listeners interested in the story behind the music as well as the composition itself.

Edgar Froese originally made the music for himself, and it was not made available until 2012. Its inspiration came after Peel died in Cusco, Peru, near the Inca site of Machu Picchu.

The release presents a respectful homage to Peel, whose belief in Tangerine Dream helped shape the band’s career.
