Description
Phase I is the recorded debut album by Norwegian trio Supereon, presented on vinyl. It is an improvised work for listeners drawn to rhythmic, meditative music shaped by piano, double bass and drums.
Rooted in the Scandinavian jazz scene, the album develops short rhythmic ideas into expansive soundscapes through repetition, variation and subtle transformation. Its sound brings together rhythmic interplay and textural sensitivity, with influences ranging from Steve Reich to Nils Frahm and Olafur Arnalds.
Supereon comprises Martin Gjerde on piano, Alexander Hoholm on double bass and Raymond Lavik on drums. Recorded in June 2025 at Studio Martin in Røros, Norway, the album was produced by Hoholm in collaboration with David Aleksander Sjolie.
