Description
Raise:Demos is a CD of early recordings by Swervedriver, for listeners interested in how the songs for the band’s Raise LP first took shape. It brings together selected moments from the group’s original Portastudio demo tapes.
Recorded in London during the winter of 1990/91, the tapes capture complete songs, ideas, jams, riffs and fragments as they emerged in the rehearsal room. Their raw sound includes amplifier hiss and effects-pedal buzz.
Tim Turan restored and rebalanced the recordings while retaining their immediate, live feel.
